Greetings!

Andrew Chapel has long been the little lighthouse on the hill.  Every passenger riding a train along the east coast sees the beautiful steeple, shining through the night, reminding each one of the love of Jesus known through a church family.

People come to Andrew Chapel in their Sunday best and in jeans and sandals; come as you are comfortable.  You are invited what ever your faith background, knowledge or lack of knowledge, whether you're seeking answers or raised in answers since birth.  Young and old, rich and poor, new to the area or born and raised here - all are welcome, all are beloved of God.

Shining the LIGHT into the world...

Community Circles

Through a network of regular attendees, Community Circles enable Andrew Chapel to support all our neighbors in times of sickness, crisis, celebration and natural disaster.  Well connected to the Brooke Fire and Rescue, we are particularly able to offer help in times of disaster.  Connection with our neighbors may mean soup when you're sick, a call when you're lonely or a card when you've been in the hospital.

Feeding the D.C. Homeless

Andrew Chapel works with Faith UMC in Accokeek, MD and four other churches to provide meals and supplies for about 150 homeless people every Sunday night.  Each Sunday the Faith UMC van and a vehicle from another church drive a particular route in D.C., handing out meals and supplies.  Because of the consistent nature of this ministry, those involved know by name many of the homeless in D.C.
Andrew Chapel goes to D.C. on the 2nd Sunday of every month.
Meals are packed @ 3:30 p.m.  Bring your hands and a willing spirit to be part of this hour long project.  Approx. 150 meals and 40 health kits will be assembled during this hour.  Also, donated clothes will be sorted and labeled for delivery.
6:00 p.m. depart for D.C.
If you drive a large vehicle and are willing to drive to D.C. please sign up to help. If you want to go along and see what this is all about, sign up for the trip.
If you know the Bible says "When you fed the least you were feeding me," then come and see why Jesus said such a thing. If you wonder about the reality of homelessness and who "those people" really are, come and meet a few.
You will return home changed.  email andy@ateague.com for more information or to sign up to help.
